Alaina Shelsta is a state champion. It has a nice ring to it. 

The Hartford Union High School student's dedication and hard work took her to the UW-Whitewater campus for the Special Olympics Summer Games in June.

Alaina ran her best 200 meters ever, with a time of 35.45 seconds. She also exceeded her shot put goal on her second throw, which measured 7.06 meters.
