Individual State Wrestling Meet Filled With Talent

There are 560 boy qualifiers and 192 girl qualifiers entering the Wisconsin High School State Individual Wrestling Tournament. It begins on Thursday, February 22 and runs through Saturday, February 24 on the UW campus, at the Kohl Center in Madison. It will be the 81st annual boys tournament and the third year of the girls tournament.

The finals of the Individual Wrestling Tournament will be Saturday, Feb. 24.

A talented group of wrestlers have qualified for the state meet from Hartford Union High School. Orioles' wrestling coach Corey McCauley told WTKM Sports that it's a big deal to get to state. A lot of hard work is put in during the season, and off season.

HUHS wrestlers heading to state include Gavin Wolters, Lincoln Flayter, Caleb Pekrul, Ayden Grulke, Maya Kirschner and Kennedy Gruszynski.
