WTKM-FM (104.9 FM) is owned by long time local radio broadcasters Dave and Connie Stout.  Their company is known as Tomsun Media, LLC (at the time taken from the names of their favorite dogs TOMmie and SUNnie). 

104.9 FM signed on the air in 1973 using the call letters WTKM which stood for We're The Kettle Moraine....an area of Wisconsin known for its hills and valleys known as kettles and moraines.

WTKM has had very few owners in the last 50 years - Iroquois County Broadcasting Company before 1990, and the Kettle Moraine Broadcasting Company from 1990 to 2011.  The Stouts purchased the station in September 2011.

The radio station is located along with sister AM station WPTT 1540 AM in downtown Hartford on the corner of WI Hwy 60 and Hwy 83 across from the famous Mineshaft restaurant.
