Hartford Union High School is seeing progress on their campus improvements, all made possible through referendum funding. These facilities serve the students and the community.
HUHS Superintendent Dr. Stacy Gahan told WTKM that the new parking lot is working out.
"That student parking lot has been great by pulling off some of the cars that always had to park on the street. We have reduced some of that traffic congestion before and after school. The kids seem to like having that parking option. It has made a difference."
The Tech Ed addition includes the overhead dust collection ductwork, electrical, mechanical, and compressed air rough-ins that are now complete.
Sectional overhead doors and lift motors are in place.
The mezzanine structure, which includes grating, guardrails, and stairs is fully installed.
Footings for exterior stoops have been poured, and corridor painting is underway.
Groundwork continues on the outdoor practice and play areas at Hartford Union High School to ensure proper drainage and safety. Topsoil has been stripped and removed from the field.
The existing asphalt track has been pulverized and milled in place.
