The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office arrested 43-year-old Aaron Nelson in connection with the disappearance of Alexis Nelson. The arrest wrapped up an extensive investigation.

The Dodge County District Attorney’s Office has formally charged Aaron Nelson with first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse. He is currently being held in the Dodge County Jail.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office recognizes that this investigation has been difficult for Alexis Nelson’s family and many within the community. Because this matter is now before the court, and out of respect for the family, the judicial process and the continued integrity of the investigation, no further details or comments will be released.
