Celebrating the Fourth in West Bend

Music on Main gets the Fourth of July weekend going Thursday night, July 2 in West Bend. Downtown West Bend Association Executive Director Phil Fritsche says it’s a great show every Thursday night.

"We have got a block with the street that's closed off from Old Settlers Park, which is our Triangle Park right in the heart of downtown. There is a stage. We encourage people to come out."

The City of West Bend’s festivities will take place on Saturday, July 4. The celebration of the United States of America’s 250th birthday will feature a full slate of free family activities.
The day begins with the annual 4th of July Family Parade. The parade will step off from Badger Middle School at 9:30 a.m., continuing north on Main Street to Cedar Street and 7th Avenue before returning to Main Street and concluding at Regner Park. Those wishing to participate in the parade can meet at the staging area on Main Street in front of Badger Middle School no later than 8:30 a.m.
The 39th Annual Kiwanis Duck Derby begins at 11 a.m. in the Regner Park creek.

Fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. at Riverside Park.
