A patriotic Jackson Jams

An Independence Day celebration is set in Jackson on Thursday, July 2.

Jackson Parks and Recreation Director Tyler Mentzel told WTKM that a wide variety of music is scheduled this summer.

"It's Jackson Jams kicking off our summer season with a little something for everyone. Different types of music all summer long every other Thursday. We want to make sure we bring a little bit of everything with our music series."

It’s a special Jackson Jams Thursday, July 2 at 5 p.m. from Jackson Park, with a chance to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with an evening full of music, food, and fun.

You can walk along the Vendor Path and shop with many vendors.

They encourage you to wear red, white, and blue.
