Air quality advisory extended on Friday

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources says an air quality advisory is in effect until 6 p.m. on Friday, July 17 for Washington, Dodge, Jefferson, Waukesha and Ozaukee counties.

The Air Quality Index is expected to present a scope from unhealthy for sensitive groups to unhealthy for all groups.

Sensitive groups should consider rescheduling or moving activities indoors. People with heart disease should ask for medical advice if you experience palpitations, shortness of breath, or unusual fatigue.

Another round of smoke is expected behind a cold front late Saturday, July 18 into Sunday, July 19.
