Hartford firefighters battle garage fire

Hartford Fire and Rescue responded to a report of a fire at a house on E. Monroe Avenue, in Hartford on Sunday, July 19 at 4:05 p.m.

Dispatch advised that one of the vehicles in the garage may be on fire. A Hartford police officer arrived on the scene first and deployed a Fire Suppression Tool into an open garage window to slow down the fire. The first arriving incident command discovered black smoke coming out of the closed garage door. 

Everyone made it out safely and no injuries were reported.

The fire in the garage was extinguished.

Smoke was removed from the house using fan-powered ventilation.

Washington County Sheriff's Office, St. Lawrence Fire Compant and the Slinger Fire Department assisted. Hartford Electric Utility and Water Utility, along with WE Energies gas, also assured that there were no utility supply concerns.
