Event and Fair Operations Manager Tanya Becker told WTKM that the rodeo is back on Thursday night, July 23 at 7 p.m.
"We are bringing back the rodeo. They do around eight different types of events, including barrel riding. I know many people are super pumped that it's back. It will be down at the Pull Track."
Opening day means it's entry day for poultry, rabbits, beef, swine, sheep, and pleasure horses.
Becker told WTKM that the number of exhibits displayed by area kids from agricultural groups is growing.
"We have one hundred more exhibitors than last year and one thousand more exhibitor entries. More animals, more Lego sets, more flowers and plants. It's exciting to see the hard work of the kids in Washington County."
A great variety of food includes gluten-free, italian, key lime, strawberry and raclette food trucks.
