Street reconstruction projects in the City of Hartford

Improvement projects around the City of Hartford continue.

Hartford City Engineer Chris Walter told WTKM about some of the current projects.

"We call them our capital projects. It's a full reconstruction with the removal of the entire roadway, replace all of the underground utility with the water main, sanitary sewer and storm sewer. This year it's Budd Street, from Grant Street to State Street. And then, Center Street from Rossman to High Street. Those are two projects that are somewhere in the same area of the city."

Walter says those projects are scheduled to begin the week of August 3. Those projects are scheduled to be complete by the end of this year.

Another project includes the Innovation Way extension at the City of Hartford’s Industrial Park. It will connect the dead end of Industrial Way to Western Avenue. It is scheduled to start in mid to late August of this year.
