The fun begins at the Wisconsin State Fair

The Wisconsin State Fair begins on Thursday, August 6 and runs through Sunday, August 16 at the Wisconsin State Fair Park in West Allis, celebrating its 175th anniversary.

The largest portable observation wheel will be featured. This ride recognizes the 250th anniversary of the country, with 45 booths - each themed after a specific president.

The cream puffs are widely popular every summer. Colton Grebe is in charge of the cream puff stand and says there is a new flavor this year.

"I love when people come up to me, I hold a sheet of paper in my back pocket so if anyone comes up with a new flavor, I will write it down. This one came from a state fair employee, with the Fair-aschino Cherry cream puff."

There is a lot to see, including the Faces of Farming display, which honors all sorts of ranchers, both old and young.
