Something for everyone at the Iron Ridge Fire Department Picnic

The Iron Ridge Fire Department Picnic runs through Sunday, August 9. It will be held at the Iron Ridge Fireman’s Park.

Iron Ridge Fire Chief Jason Keller told WTKM what the picnic means to the department.

"This is our largest fundraiser of the year. It makes up a pretty significant amount of our income. It allows us to not have to ask for increases in rates from the taxpayers. When individuals come out and support our picnic, they are directly supporting the operations of our department. We are a privately owned department. That money is regulated by us. Our purchases and decisions are made by us."

The fish fry begins at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, August 7.

They will get you there and back with a shuttle service from Johnson Bus Service Friday, August 7 and Saturday, August 8. Pickup Route 1 will be from Able Light Thrift Store, in Horicon at 5:30 p.m. and Hustisford Community Hall at 5:45 p.m. Pickup Route 2 will be from Ace Hardware, in Mayville at 6:15 p.m. and Theresa Town Hall at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 8 will be busy with cornhole, volleyball and softball tournaments.

Sunday’s parade steps off at 11 a.m.
