Primary election results from Tuesday, August 11 and in some cases, early Wednesday morning, August 12. 

Republican Tom Tiffany won his party’s nomination for governor. 

Democrat David Crowley won the Wisconsin primary for governor.

Tiffany wins with 95 percent of the vote. Crowley edged Francesca Hong by just over 3,000 votes.

Bernie Newman finished with 60 percent of the vote, or 4,284 votes over   Christopher Bossert, who had 40 percent, or 2,909 in the Republican primary for State Assembly District 58. Wisconsin's 58th Assembly District is represented by Republican Rick Gundrum. The district covers parts of Washington County, including West Bend, Jackson and Slinger. Gundrum, who first joined the Assembly after winning a 2018 special election, announced he won’t seek reelection. 

Incumbent Mark Born earned 66 percent of the vote, or 4,124 in a primary win over Steve Rydzewski, who finished with 34 percent, or 2,157 votes in the Republican primary for State Assembly District 37. It covers parts of Dodge and Fond du Lac counties and includes the cities of Beaver Dam, Waupun, Mayville, and Fox Lake.

Nick Ollinger collected 65 percent of the vote to win the primary for the Waukesha County Sheriff's race. Ollinger will be the only candidate on the ballot in November and received 30,988 votes. John Gscheidmeier finished with 16,646 votes, or 35 percent.
