Patients identified from fatal accident in Polk

There is more information regarding a fatal accident from August 29, at 2:30 a.m. It happened in the area of Highway 175 and Highway 164 in Polk.

Washington County Sheriff's deputies, Slinger police officers and state patrol troopers discovered a woman and a man at the scene. Lifesaving efforts were performed, but both subjects passed away at the scene of the accident on August 29. 

They have been identified as 29-year-old Emerald Tingue, of Polk and 51-year-old Eric Anderson, of Jackson.

The road was closed for five hours while the Washington County Crash Reconstruction Unit and the Washington County Medical Examiner's Office investigated the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
