West Side Park's seating project in the City of Hartford broke ground in the beginning of September. It will create a seating area between the pickleball courts and playground.
This is a concrete pad with a 20’x30’ open shelter, donated by Zuern Building Products. Prospective Construction is the approved general contractor leading the project.
The project will not disrupt pickleball matches, but players will need to use the gate on the south (Hwy 60) side of the complex. The playground will also remain open.
Work on the seating project is expected to take 6 to 8 weeks to complete.
The City of Hartford Capital Improvement Program included a $50,000 allocation for the addition at West Side Park.
