Flock cameras continue to be a topic of discussion.

These cameras are automated license plate readers that are able to record and log the make, model, license plate, color, time and direction of passing vehicles.

Wisconsin's 98th Assembly District State Representative Jim Piwowarczyk told WTKM that flock cameras are causing some concern.

"The reality is, we have had flock cameras and law enforcement has been using them for over ten years now. Flock cameras take photos of cars as they drive by and its stored in a data base. There are multiple uses for flock cameras. I realize, there are privacy concerns and I have those concerns also."  

Residents were encouraged to make their voice heard at a Village Board meeting, in Slinger on Monday, September 28 regarding flock cameras. A number of Slinger residents signed a petition in order to remove the flock cameras and it was turned in.

Slinger currently has five flock cameras posted throughout the community.
