Jackson Parks and Rec Fall Festival of Fun is Thursday, October 8 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.

It includes a 5K Fun Run, according to Director Tyler Mentzel.

"Historically, that's the length of the run or you can take the kidos for one lap if they can't make three miles yet. We have added a new twist on the run, we have a group of monsters coming along the path. It is still very family friendly. If you don't want to be scared, we have designations that they will recognize along the route."

Following the run, it’s the Ghoul Gala, which is also part of the Fall Festival of Fun and is free and open to the public.

A vendor fair will take place and there will be fun carnival games for the kids in the gym, at the Jackson Rec Center.
