Cooler temperatures are expected through southeast Wisconsin, after a stretch of rain.
Winds are expected to reach 25 to 40 mph for Friday, October 16. Scattered light showers may linger.
Low temperatures will dip into the 30s for Saturday morning, October 17.
According to the USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service, approximately 89% of Wisconsin's corn crop has reached maturity at the time of this writing. For crops that have already hit peak maturity, the impending frost is not a threat and will actually aid farmers by speeding up the natural dry-down process of the grain.
Sunshine returns Saturday afternoon, but temperatures will stay cool, with highs in the mid-50s.
Sunday, October 18 will see temperatures climb to around 60 degrees. Breezy conditions return, with wind gusts around 30 mph.
