Dodge County Fair Association distributes wristband funds to local nonprofits

Categories: Local News

The Dodge County Fair Association announced the distribution of over $8,800 in proceeds from the 2026 Dodge County Fair wristband program to the five local nonprofit organizations that staffed the fair's wristband booths.

All funds collected from the $1 wristband policy, which was designed to verify IDs and prevent underage drinking, are distributed directly back to the participating volunteer groups. This year’s recipient organizations include the Juneau Lions Club, Beaver Dam Lions Club, Dodge County Boots and Saddle Club and Green Valley Enterprises.

"The wristband policy serves a dual purpose," said Fair Association Treasurer Sharon Keil in a press release. "It acts as an essential safety measure to control underage drinking while simultaneously generating significant financial support for our local non-profit partners who give their time to run the booths."

Fair Association Director Nate Zank expressed his gratitude.

"We are deeply grateful for the dedication of these volunteer groups. Their hard work ensures our fair runs smoothly and remains a safe, family-friendly event while giving back to the community we all serve."
