The Hartford-Slinger boys swimming team has a new coach.

Hartford Union High School alumnus John Kangas steps in to lead the team as their new head coach.

The Hartford-Slinger boys swim team finished their impressive season in 19th place at the WIAA Division 1 State Swimming Meet at Waukesha South High School. A group of talented swimmers broke four school records. 

A few of the final results from the state meet included a fifth place finish in the 200 Freestyle for Finn Nelson, who also broke his own school record. Nelson also finished in eighth place in the 100 Freestyle event and broke a 26-year-old school record in the process.

New school records were also set at Waukesha South during the state meet in the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relay.
