The Arrowhead High School football program has earned two 9-win seasons in the past three years. It includes last season, at 9-3 with a shared Classic Eight title with Oconomowoc. The Warhawks won their last five out of six games and ended the season in the WIAA Sectional Championship game with a loss to Mukwonago, 17-6.
Arrowhead will have a new quarterback this season. Vance Holtz graduated, after completing 61 percent of his passes last year for 1,907 yards and 18 touchdowns.
Leading rusher from a year ago Jacob Siner returns to the backfield. His impressive season, as a junior running back, included 1,312 yards rushing and 10 touchdowns.
Running back Pres Bencz returns for his senior season. He ran for 337 yards and two touchdowns last season.
Harper Hughes is also returning after leading the team with 49 catches for 796 yards and seven touchdowns last year.
Linebacker Brendan Foley is back on defense, which is great news for Arrowhead fans. Last season's leading tackler is set for an impressive senior season after 131 tackles, 23 tackles for loss and 10 sacks.
Arrowhead opens up the season on the road at Marquette University, Friday night, August 22 at 7 p.m.
