West Bend West head football coach Taylor Ripplinger took over in 2022. The Spartans finished 2-7 that season, followed by 0-9 in Ripplinger's second season. Things could have taken a turn for the worst, instead...the coaches and players kept working. They were all in and it paid off with a 4-5 season. The improvement was evident last year.

There is more good news for West Bend West football, as Collin Grass returns for his junior season. The Spartans' quarterback completed 57 percent of his passes for 745 yards and six touchdowns. He only had one interception last year as a sophomore.

Leading rusher Noah Reinhart is back for his senior season. He rushed for 973 total yards last year with seven touchdowns. 

Their top two receivers return for their junior year. Xander Collier finished with 31 receptions for 514 yards and two touchdowns. Ryan Rose had 21 catches for 357 yards and three touchdowns. Senior receiver Garon Brickner will also be counted on this season.

West Bend West opens up the season on the road at Sheboygan South at 7 p.m. on Friday, August 22.
