Slinger Cross Country Coach honored

It was a special honor for Slinger High School Cross Country Coach Terry Krall at the invitational, which was named after the national girls cross country coach of the year by the National Federation of High School Association, held at Heritage Trails County Park in Polk.

Krall was selected Girls Cross Country State Coach of the Year and will be inducted into the Wisconsin Cross Country Coaches Association's Hall of Fame this year.

Coach Krall has been named District 6 Coach of the Year by the WCCCA four times.

After coaching track and field, and cross country at the junior high and high school levels in Wisconsin for over 50 years, Krall won his first state championship with co-coach John Strand in 2023. Both coaches were instrumental in leading the Owls to a State Girls Cross Country title.
