First place for the Hartford Union High School Fishing Team

The Hartford Union High School Fishing Club earned first place in the Big 6 Species Slam Tournament on Saturday, January 31.

The challenge for all of the fishermen was to land a mixed bag from six different species, counting one big fish per species.

For the Orioles, an impressive total of 107 inches.  

Leading the charge, according to Hartford Union High School:

 Porter Kaul – 26" Walleye

 Noah Boll – 13.5" Crappie

 Alex Fies – 32" Northern Pike

 Ian Russ – 18" Bass

 Alex Fies – 9" Bluegill

 Alex Theiler – 8.5" Perch
