Giannis traded to Miami

The Milwaukee Bucks are trading Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bobby Portis to the Miami Heat, according to reports by ESPN.

The Bucks and Heat will execute the deal on July 6. The trade does not include any additional teams.

The Bucks are acquiring four players, including Tyler Herro who grew up just outside of Milwaukee and attended Whitnall High School, in Greenfield. He made the All-Star team and averaged 19 points per game over seven seasons with the Heat. Kel'el Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and Kasparas Jakucionis are also headed to Milwaukee along with three first-round picks (including No. 13 in Tuesday's NBA draft), one pick swap and one second-round pick.

Antetokounmpo spent 13 seasons in Milwaukee. He was a 10-time All-Star, a two-time MVP and a Defensive Player of the Year (2020).

He led the Bucks to its first championship in 50 years when the Bucks won the 2021 title.
