The Bend Theater will host "Ueck," the feature length documentary on Milwaukee Brewers bradcasting legend Bob Uecker, on Monday, August 17 at 7 p.m. as the West Bend stop, kicking off the film's statewide tour outside Milwaukee. The screening will be followed by a roundtable discussion with the film's producer and filmmakers.

The evening is presented as part of The Bend Sessions, West Bend's community lecture series.

Joining the conversation on stage will be filmmakers Steve Farr and Michael Vollmann, and former Milwaukee Brewers player Willie Mueller, a West Bend native who co-starred with Uecker in the movie Major League - playing the Duke.

Following the August 17 screening and roundtable, "Ueck" will play exclusively at The Bend Theater for three encore screenings: August 18 at 7 p.m., August 19 at 7 p.m. and August 22 at 1 p.m. 

The film traces Bob Uecker's path from his sandlot days to a backup catcher in the majors and more than five decades behind the microphone for the Brewers.   

Uecker passed away in January, of 2025 after a private battle with lung cancer.
